Today was another August beauty.  Temperatures continue to run about 10 degrees cooler than normal with morning lows in the mid 50s and afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s.  Humidity remains absent, and will be slow to return.  Tempertures, especially in the afternoon will continue to climb though.

Conditions through Thursday won't be much different from today.  Cool morning lows in the upper 50s will warm into the mid to upper 80s during the afternoon under mostly sunny skies.  Temperatures will continue to slowly climb with highs near 90° Friday.  Humidity levels should remain low though.

Over the weekend a pocket of upper level energy, currently located over Utah, will pass slowly through the region.  Summer heat and humidity will be back at this point, and this combined with the upper level energy will lead to at leat spotty shower and thunderstorm activity.  The upper level storm may try to push a front into the area on Sunday, and this would enhance storm chances.

Weak disturbances will continue to make their way across the area at times next week.  This coupled with highs in the low 90s and ample moisture will continue to lead to a chance for storms on a daily basis through Wednesday.
