Hurricane Author is still a category one but will probably make a direct hit on the North Carolina coastline. Author will continue in the Atlantic just off the east coast but shouldn't be effecting any other major city.
Forecast model: High pressure will remain overhead today but since we are on the east side of high pressure we are still getting that north wind along with cool and dry conditions. Eventually the high moves further east which will help pump in some of that Gulf moisture again this weekend. May have to watch the warm front moving through this weekend which may cause some showers and storms.
Today: High of 79.
UV index: 10
7 day forecast: It will be a carbon copy day. We will see highs again in the upper 70s with generally sunny skies. The next few days wll be amazing but chances for storms may begin to linger again this weekend. Sunday and Monday we could see some isolated storms.
