Skies will become clear tonight with temperatures dropping into the upper 50s and low 60s. This will make for a nice start to the school year for kids returning to school after the summer vacation. Skies will remain sunny throughout the day with possibly a few fair weather cumulus clouds developing by afternoon. Temperatures will warm to around 80°. This coupled with low humidity will make for "open window weather" all day.
Wednesday and Thursday will be the same with comfortably cool nights and pleasantly warm afternoons. High cloudiness may be a bit more widespread on Thursday as the leading edge of some unsettled weather in the atmosphere begins to move in.
A series of disturbances will move through starting Friday. The air mass will be very dry initially, but a few showers may try to sneak in. A stronger disturbance will move slowly over the area Saturday. By this point heat and moisture will be returning to the area. This should set the stage for at least widely scattered showers and thunderstorms. The disturbance will be departing on Sunday, but a few isolated showers and storms may still be possible. It will certainly feel more like summer again this weekend as humidity levels and temperatures return to more normal levels. Hot and mainly dry conditions will follow on Monday with highs back in the low 90s. This will be the beginning of a hotter and more humid pattern.
