Clouds linger today, warmer sunshine returns tomorrow ---
The low pressure that brought a rainy, dreary Sunday is still swirling to our southeast this morning. We're taping into a couple showers east of HWY 65 this morning. Clouds and patchy fog lurk.
The low will very slowly pull east today. As it does, showers will end from west to east with some peeks of sunshine possible west along the KS/ MO border. Most of us get stuck under mostly cloudy to overcast skies today.
Areas east, where clouds remain thick and rain lingers longer, temperatures will be cooler in the upper 50's. West, where rain ends sooner and some sunshine is possible, temperatures could make it into the middle 60's. High in Springfield, 63 degrees.
Tonight we'll all see a decrease in cloud cover. Lows dip into the middle 40's.
Mostly sunny skies tomorrow and beautiful! With sunshine and a nice north wind, highs get into the lower 70's!
A weak front passes through on Wednesday. A few showers are possible under mostly cloudy skies and cooler highs in the lower 60's.
We'll spend most of the afternoon on Thursday dry. Expect a mix of sun and clouds and middle 60's. Another weak front comes through Thursday night with a few showers possible.
A ridge of high pressure, or warming pattern in the upper levels of the atmosphere sets up Friday. That will make for a really nice weekend! Mostly sunny skies with highs warming from the lower to middle 70's through the weekend.
