Friday, January 12 Overnight Forecast

A rude awakening of cold temperatures area-wide with wind chill values near and sub-zero.

We warmed into the 20s for a high today with sunny skies.

The sunny skies will give way to cloudy skies overnight with lows falling into the upper single digits and middle teens. It will be feeling sub-zero tomorrow morning.

Sunshine comes out Saturday with overall mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with light winds and temperatures about the same as today with highs in the low to upper 20s

27 for a high in Springfield

A small disturbance drops down through the jet stream into the Ozarks Sunday morning bringing a dusting to a half inch of snow accumulation. Temperatures rise above freezing by afternoon.

A stronger storm system looks to pass through Monday with temperatures falling through the day into the teens. With cold temperatures, the snow will be very fluffy and should lead to higher amounts of snow. 1-3" of snowfall possible with highest amounts near HWY 60

A frigid Tuesday with temperatures near zero and wind chills in the negative teens, the actual temperature will likely only warm into the teens with sunshine

A nice much needed warm up then comes Wednesday with temperatures in the upper 20s, highs ending up near 50 by the weekend
