A storm system will enter western Missouri after midnight tonight and push east through the first part of Saturday. This will deliver heavy rains, and significant lightning. Large hail and damaging winds are also possible. The activity should calm down a bit during the second half of Saturday.
Scattered storms are possible Sunday, with the higher chances south (in extreme southern Missouri and northern Arkansas).
A surface and upper level low will be over our area Monday and Tuesday, keeping storm chances and flooding concerns high.
Storm chances go down Wednesday through Friday, and we may see a few extra peaks of sunshine.
Expect warm and muggy temperatures through this week, with highs in the mid 70s to low 80s, and lows in the 60s. The "coolest" days will be Monday and Tuesday, with lows in the low 60s and highs in the mid 70s.
