SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- With the latest snowfall over the weekend, Springfield has now recorded its 10th snowiest winter on record.

The National Weather Service says this latest storm has left 3.8 inches of snow and sleet - 2.8 inches of snow fell since midnight Sunday.

31.2 inches of snow has fallen this winter season in Springfield.  The record is 54.5 inches, recorded during the 1911-12 winter.

But less than 2 inches of snow separate the 10th position and 5th, making it possible for this winter to end even higher on the rankings.
