Police spokesperson Lisa Cox says it happened at the branch at 633 W. Kearney shortly before 11:00 am.
Police are searching for the suspect now. More information on this developing story will be posted as it becomes available.

- Suspect in bank robbery-W/M, 40s, 6'1", medium build, white gauze bandage over his chin from ear to ear, blue Cardinals shirt, jeans, sunglasses, and cap

The Kansas City office of the FBI said stickers were viable on the back glass window and bumper.
Lt. Todd Revell told reporters the man walked into bank and said he wanted to open account. He then told the manager he had a bomb in a bag he was carrying.
He was taken to the safe where he removed money. The amount is not yet known.
Revell said the man fled the bank, going to the pickup truck parked across the street.
Police say a witness to the robbery followed the truck to near Walmart on Kansas Expressway at I-44, then lost the man.
One woman inside the bank was taken to a local hospital to be checked over.
