SPRINGFIELD, Mo. --  Emergency crews were called to stand by after a plane that left Springfield had mechanical issues Monday morning.

The Delta regional plane landed about 10:35 after reporting a problem with a flap on its landing gear.

Airport spokesman Kent Boyd says the plane took off from the airport about 9:45 a.m. then reported the problem.  The pilot flew around western Greene County to burn off fuel before attempting the landing.

About 50 people were onboard.  No injuries have been report.
