Additionally, an upper level disturbance impacts our area, bringing more clouds and widespread storm chances Friday morning through Saturday afternoon. Saturday's storm chances are highest in the morning and early afternoon, and decrease through the evening. storms linger a bit longer southeast of Springfield through Saturday. Widespread severe weather is not anticipated. lightning will be the main threat with these storms. One inch of rain is possible now through Saturday. Sunday is looking like a much better day to fire up the BBQ this Labor Day with a mix of sun and clouds and afternoon temperatures in the 80s.
