Reminder: Wind Chill Advisory Until Noon

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Temperatures ranging from around zero to minus 10 coupled with 5 to 10 mph winds will produce wind chill values ranging from minus 10 to minus 30 degrees until after daybreak Tuesday.

A Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect until noon Tuesday for these counties in Missouri:

Benton-Morgan-Miller-Maries-Vernon-St. Clair-Hickory-Camden-Pulaski-Phelps-Barton-Cedar-Polk-Dallas- Laclede-Texas-Dent-Jasper-Dade-Greene-Webster-Wright-Newton-Lawrence-Christian-Douglas-Howell-Shannon-McDonald-Barry-Stone-Taney-Ozark-Oregon.

Temperatures ranging from around zero to  minus 10 coupled with 5 to 10 mph winds will produce wind chill  values ranging from minus 10 to minus 30 degrees until after daybreak Tuesday.

Advisory conditions will occur Tuesday morning for extreme southeastern Kansas and all  of the Missouri Ozarks.

Wind chill values in the between 10 and 30 below zero will be common tonight. The coldest values will be  over central Missouri in the Rolla area.

Wind chills of this magnitude can result in frost bite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Those outdoors without sufficient protection will run a high risk for frost bite or hypothermia.
