Willard's Kendrix Signs With MSU Bears

Willard's basketball star Chris Kendrix signs with Missouri State.
WILLARD, Mo--Wednesday is also the national letter of intent signing day for high school athletes who will be playing fall and winter sports next year in college.

We're mostly talking about basketball and volleyball players.

At Willard high school, Chris Kendrix signed to play his college basketball at Missouri State.

The 6-foot-5 185 pound forward averaged 20 points and nearly seven rebounds a game last season for the Tigers.

He picked the Bears over others division one schools like Wichita State.

"It was really based off a deep decision between me and my mom," said Chris Kendrix.  "Because I really wanted her to see me play in college.  And I thought it would be a lot of fun going there local like Kyle Weems did.  Kind of like  a local hero especially to the community around here in Willard."
