SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A 17-year-old Willard resident is in Greene County Jail today charged with multiple counts of sexual offenses against a 15-year-old girl after breaking into her bedroom repeatedly over the past five months.

A probable cause statement filed in the case states that Mathew M. White forced entry into the girl’s locked bedroom with a screwdriver and used a knife to threaten her while he held her down and removed her clothing.

The statement says he has admitted to investigators that he had forcible intercourse and forcible sodomy with the girl one of more times per week.

He used physical force to overpower her and also threatened to break the wings of the girl’s pet bird or tell her parents about a wrongdoing, the statement says. He also told investigators that he had threatened to knock her out if she didn’t perform a certain sexual act, the document shows.

White is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond and is charged with first-degree rape or attempted rape, three counts of sodomy or attempted sodomy and one count of sexual abuse, according to online court records.

All the charges are felony offenses.
