Willard Advances In Soccer Playoffs

Willard beats West Plains 5-1.
COLUMBIA, Mo--It's championship time for a number of all sports.
Wednesday the high school football teams will continue their playoffs.
State volleyball will crown a champion this weekend.
And boys soccer is underway as well.
At Willard Monday afternoon, the host Tigers were taking on West Plains in a Class 2 District 11 semifinal.
It was 1-nothing Willard when they try to get more, Nathaniel Terry with the strong left footed boot stopped by West Plain's Shane York.
But Willard would get another goal, Cooper Dunn with the nice feed to Andrew Harris.
And the senior would go top corner, pretty goal, it's 2-nothing Tigers.
Then Dunn would get the ball, fancy footwork, he spins and shoots and scores, 3-nothing Willard.
The Tigers keep attacking, Terry's shot is deflected up by York, then bounces off the top bar, back into play before being punched out.
Willard goes onto win 5-one.
