SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- More than two inches of hard rainfall overnight caused flash flooding in parts of Springfield early today.

Scenic south of Battlefield had rushing water over the road at one point early today, prompting a water rescue when one car got stuck. 

Public Works crews were called out to put up barricades there and on Lone Pine near Republic Road in the Galloway area.
