SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- It's been one week since a deadly EF-5 tornado struck Moore, Oklahoma.
KOLR10 News' Melissa Stern caught up with Jeff Nene, senior director of communications for Convoy of Hope. He says the agency happened to be in Oklahoma last Monday and was able to get to the scene within a half hour.
"When communities like Springfield get involved in Joplin or Oklahoma City -- or even the tsunami in Japan -- we're paying it forward and somewhere along the way our time will come."
Melissa also chatted with Red Cross volunteer caseworker Holly Anthony.
"It's very rewarding when you can help somebody with something they need, because you can tell they're very grateful for your help and you know you're doing something to help them. It's an amazing feeling."
