WEATHER: Higher Snowfall Amounts Predicted

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The National Weather Service says more snow accumulation is expected than before. Meteorologists say freezing rain will turn over to sleet and snow tonight. A winter weather advisory is in effect for much of the state, which could soon become a winter weather warning.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The National Weather Service says more snow accumulation is expected than before. Meteorologists say freezing rain will turn over to sleet and snow tonight. A winter weather advisory is in effect for much of the state, which could soon become a winter weather warning. 


Higher snow amounts may fall tonight along and north of I-44.


The National Weather Service says amounts predicted have been raised and data is being analyzed now over the need to raise them even higher.
