WATCH: Stephen Colbert Urges Donations to Convoy of Hope

Comedy satirist Stephen Colbert is urging his viewers to donate to typhoon relief efforts by Springfield-based Convoy of Hope.
Comedy satirist Stephen Colbert is lending his weight to disaster relief efforts in the Philippines.  During Thursday's Colbert Report on Comedy Central network, Colbert urged his viewers to donate to Springfield-based Convoy of Hope.

Colbert says China is only pledging $100,000 dollars to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.  He challenged his viewers to raise as least as much money by texting "Colbert" to 50555.  Doing so would pledge a $10 donation to Convoy of Hope, which is helping coordinate distribution of water, food and cleaning supplies throughout the typhoon-ravaged region.
