Wasting Disease the Focus of Conservation Meeting Tonight

WEST PLAINS, Mo. -- The Missouri Department of Conservation will host a public meeting in West Plains tonight.
WEST PLAINS, Mo. -- The Missouri Department of Conservation will host a public meeting in West Plains tonight.

Agents will be talking about deer and chronic wasting disease in Missouri.  The department will give information and take comments on ways to limit the spread of the disease among captive and free-range deer.

That meeting starts at 6:30 at the West Plains Civic Center. A similar meeting is scheduled for Springfield in October.
