This weekend, community organizations are calling for volunteers to help in Waynesville.

The Pulaski County Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD), is asking for anyone who can help, to show up today (Friday) and Saturday at the Waynesville City Park.
Cleanup teams will spread out starting at 9am both days, helping at more than 200 homes that still have flood damage like ruined flooring and mold.

Isabel Lambert, the volunteer coordinator, says teams are also needed Wednesday through Saturday the next two weeks.

She posts updates on Facebook, for people wanting to keep up with recovery efforts:

We have an urgent need for volunteers to help with clean-up efforts on properties that were affected by the flood last month. We still have situations where homes are in unsafe conditions for their inhabitants, and we need to get this work completed as quickly as possible.
We are aiming to send teams out Friday and Saturday of this week, along with other dates listed below. If you can help us, please follow up with me as soon as possible.
We also have a less urgent but equally important need for volunteers to assist in our office with some basic administration work during the week. If this is something more suited to your situation, please let me know.
