SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Greene County Commissioner acknowledges the county is in a difficult spot when it comes to the budget.
The County Commission met again Friday to look at its financial situation. Commissioner Jim Viebrock said the county is facing a lot of challenges and is working through them. They're in the process of trying to prioritize.
"It's really hard, particularly the priority process, because of course everybody thinks their piece of their pie is the most important so we're trying to take a realistic look at what the needs truly are and what people have done without for the last couple of years and see if we can't seem to backfill some of those holes," said Viebrock.
Viebrock said fewer people have attended the study sessions and they want to keep the the community included in those discussions.
