SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The man suspected of making threats that led to several school and college lockdowns on Wednesday is now getting a mental evaluation.

Police say the man threatened a judge at the Social Security Office and made a threat to an unspecified college campus. Now, a police spokesperson says the U.S. Attorney’s Office has not yet filed any charges against the man.

Greene County won’t be filing charges either, as it was the U.S. Attorney’s jurisdiction, according to the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office.

KOLR10 contacted the U.S. Attorney’s Office, but was told no one was available to speak due to the government shutdown.
