BRANSON, Mo. -- A minor fire that broke out at Silver Dollar City around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday is being attributed to an electrical fault.

According to Silver Dollar City spokeswoman Lisa Rau, crews at the park had some work today, Dec. 11, to repair the exterior areas of the Outlaw Run queue line, where the fire occurred.

The ride itself was not damaged, however a 10' by 10' area was affected by the flames.  The Southern Stone County Fire Department responded to the smoke alarm system and park security within eight minutes and the flames were quickly extinguished.

No one was injured in the incident.

Silver Dollar City will open as scheduled on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 1 p.m. for An Old Time Christmas, which runs through Dec. 30.

Rau says due to severe weather, special ticket pricing is added through the end of the season, plus one additional day not reflected on the calendar for Wednesday, Dec. 18.
