SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Last spring's Rock'n Ribs festival at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds brought in more than $150,000 for seven children's charities.
Organizers announced Monday that a record number of 72 teams raised the money, and there were more than 35,000 people at the 14th annual event on April 19-20, 2013.
The $152,250 will be distributed Tuesday. Rock'n Ribs Executive Committee members will present checks to each of the seven charities at one of the Rotary Club meetings in Springfield.
