Two Mountain Home Men Charged with Burglary

BAXTER COUNTY, Ark. -- Two Mountain Home men were arrested Jan. 10 by Baxter County Sheriff's Investigators for breaking into a private resident on Dec. 27.
BAXTER COUNTY, Ark.-- Two Mountain Home men were arrested Jan. 10 by Baxter County Sheriff's Investigators for breaking into a private residence on Dec. 27.

The owner of the residence was out of town at the time of the disturbance and was alerted of the crime by an alarm from his security system.The owner of the home accessed the alarm system remotely and saw two unknown men inside of his home. 

The owner called the Sheriff's Department and deputies were dispatched. The men were able to access the home from a window near the rear of the home, they subsequently fled from the scene, escaping into the woods.

The owner of the home was able to provide investigator's with the video footage from the security system of the suspects, which was key in identifying them.

Both suspects admitted to breaking into the residence, where a power tool was stolen, and fled when they noticed the security system.

Tyler Ray Bell, 28, and Jeffery Wayne Maller, 32, were arrested and incarcerated on the charges of felony residential burglary and theft of property.

Both are held on a $15,000 bond and are scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 16.
