Trial Set for Father Charged with Son's Shooting Death

AVA, Mo. -- Trial dates have been set for a man from Ozark County, Missouri, accused of fatally shooting his 41-year-old son last May.

The trial for Howard L. Ingram, Dugginsville, was moved to Douglas County on a change of venue.  It is scheduled to be held Nov. 18-20 in Ava.

Ingram, 66, faces four charges -- second-degree murder, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful use of a firearm.

He is alleged to have shot his son, Howard L. Ingram Jr., in the head and a home in the Dugginsville area about 10 p.m. May 9.

Ingram is being held in the Ozark County Jail in lieu of $750,000 bond. If he is released on the bond, electronic monitoring has been ordered.

A pretrial conference is set for Nov. 6 in Douglas County.
