Trial Rescheduled for Lebanon Man Accused of Possession of Child Pornography

LEBANON, Mo. – A jury trial scheduled to begin today in Laclede County for a Lebanon man accused of possession of child pornography was stricken at the defendant’s request and rescheduled for February 24-26, with a pre-trial conference set for Jan. 6, according to online court records.

Rene Harvey, 73, who has pleaded not guilty to the felony charge, his second offense, is being held in the Laclede County Jail in lieu of half a million dollars bond. He was working as a maintenance man at a mobile home park in Lebanon at the time of his arrest in September of 2012.

He also appears on the Missouri sex offender registry in connection with a 1993 offense involving a 9-year-old female.
