Travel Conditions Worsening in Branson at Mid-Day

BRANSON, Mo. -- By late morning, road conditions in the Branson, Missouri area are getting slick. Branson public schools canceled classes early this morning, before the storm hit. Silver Dollar City is also shut down today.
BRANSON, Mo. -- By late morning, road conditions in the Branson, Missouri area are getting slick.
Branson public schools canceled classes early this morning, before the storm hit.  Silver Dollar City is also shut down today.

And while some people stay inside, other refuse to let it ruin their time in Branson.

"I live on a mountainside and if it gets icy, there's no way we can get out unless we want to slide out," says Bill Dixon, who was buying groceries in Branson.
Getting Groceries

Barbara Payne and her husband, Gene, are visiting Branson and aren't letting the storm ruin their vacation.  "We're from Minnesota and we're used to snow, not ice," says Barbara.
"I can sit inside the house and watch the storm go by.  Don't bother me," Gene Payne adds.
