Training Camp Information for Chiefs Fans

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Here's the information you need to know if you plan to go to St. Joseph to watch the Kansas City Chiefs practice in training camp.
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Kansas City Chiefs Training Camp begins its fourth year at Missouri Western in St. Joe this week as rookies and quarterbacks report July 22nd, and the first practice July 26th.

The opening practice of the 2013 camp on Friday, July 26th will begin at 3:30pm, but the remaining 14 practices open to the public will start at 8:15am. For a complete schedule of training camp practices, click here.

One of the highlights of training camp is family fun day, which is scheduled for August 3rd. The Chiefs will hold practice at 8:15am with a full team autograph session to follow.

Also on August 3rd, Missouri Western will hold the Gatorade Junior Training Camp on the Spratt Stadium game field after the Chiefs practice. The camp is free, and it's open to boys and girls in grades 3rd through 8th. The first 100 to sign up will receive two tickets to a Chiefs preseason game. Sign up will take place on site the day of the event.

More training camp notes:

Four times throughout training camp, Kansas City will hold full team autograph sessions: July 26th, July 29th, August 3rd and August 11th. All other days, designated position groups will sign after practice.

Fans will be directed to park in Lot H on the Missouri Western campus -- the closest lot to the practice fields. Parking costs $5, or $15 for buses and RV's. Fans can purchase daily parking online at gogriffons.com.

Gates to the practice fields open 30 minutes prior to the start of practice and close 30 minutes after practice ends.

Missouri Western and the Chiefs are accommodating fans looking to brave the heat during training camp. The Chiefs provide a misting tent for spectators to cool down during practice. Water will also be provided compliments of the Western Institute in the Missouri Western tent at the entrance to the main camp area. Fans are allowed to bring in one sealed bottle of water to the practice fields.
