Toys for Tots: Motorcycle Ride Cancelled, Celebration Continues

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The harsh driving conditions over the weekend will cause the Toys for Tots motorcycle ride to be cancelled for what the organization says is the first time in 34 years.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The harsh driving conditions over the weekend will cause the Toys for Tots motorcycle ride to be cancelled for what the organization says is the first time in 34 years.

This year marks the 33rd annual Toys for Tots Motorcycle Ride, hosted by the Springfield Marine Corps Reserve. The celebration will still continue at Transport Graphics as scheduled, only the motorcycle ride portion of the event will be cancelled to ensure the safety of riders.

Those who wish to participate in the event can still drop of toys at Transport Graphics from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Door prizes, patches, and refreshments will be available and the door prize giveaway will begin at 2:00 p.m.

Event coordinators ask that all toys are new and are not wrapped when brought for donation.
