(Springfield, MO) -- The Springfield Home Builder's Association wrapped up this year's home show Sunday at the Expo Center.

"You've got all the selection to choose from," said John King, who was visiting from Galena, Missouri. "It gives you ideas and prices. Things that help our budget."

More than 10,000 People attended Saturday's event.

More than 200 vendors displayed everything from insulation to landscaping.

Bankers were even on hand to assist homebuyers with financial questions.

HBA officials say many factors including the economy have hit the home building industry this year.

"The cost and availability of materials with all the natural disasters we've had in the last 12 months," said Charlyce Ruth, operations manager at the HBA of Greater Springfield. "That has affected availability, it's affected the lead time. So it adds a few more challenges to the building process but it's still easy to make it happen and everyone's willing to work together on it."

The HBA will be in the Expo Center again next January with the latest in home building trends.
