BRANSON WEST, Mo. -- A yearlong child pornography investigation leads to the arrest of a Branson West man.

Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader says Richard D. Blackwell, 52, is now behind bars. Deputies executed a search warrant at Blackwell's home on Talking Rocks Road Thursday and seized computers and flash drives.

On Friday, detectives say they located several images of child sexual abuse on Blackwell's devices. The prosecutor subsequently charged Blackwell with possession of child pornography and set his bond at $25,000.

Sheriff Rader tells KOLR10 News Blackwell was the center of an investigation that began in August 2012, and included work by the Nixa and Branson police departments, the Tri-Lakes Cyber Crime Task Force, and the Stone County Sheriff's Office.

Blackwell is being held in the Stone County Jail.
