SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Springfield Symphony Orchestra will dress in Halloween costumes this evening for the Spooky Symphony, at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.

Attendees are encouraged to dress up in costume and participate in the costume contest. The winning story of our local school-children’s Spooky Story Contest will be read from the stage as the Orchestra plays spooky sounds.

The Springfield Fire Department will take part in the event by speaking with children on the importance of fire safety, since October is National Fire Prevention Month.

The free concert is sponsored by Kids Directory, Voss Autohaus, Merrill Lynch, and the South Campbell Walmart Supercenter.
