Springfield, MO Home Invasion Robbery Suspects Charged

(Springfield, MO) -- Springfield Police say two people have been charged in connection with a home invasion Thursday night.

(Springfield, MO) -- Springfield Police say two people have been charged in connection with a home invasion Thursday night.

Ramone Hicks and Jose Bibiano -- each from Springfield -- are charged with First Degree Robbery.

Police say the the men, along with a woman who's been arrested yet not formally charged, forced their way into a home on 1800 Block of N. Broadway just before 11:00 p.m. They allegedly demanded money and drugs.

Police say they realized they'd stormed into the wrong house, but took the victim's wallet, cell phone, and other items.

No one was injured.

After the robbery, officers say they tracked the suspects to a Walmart where they were attempting to use the victim's credit card.

Weapons used during the robbery were located in the suspect's vehicle along with several items taken during the robbery.

The investigation is ongoing.

The sheriff says the woman involved was misidentified as Heather Bergen, and will be formally charged on September 7 when the Prosecutor's Office reopens.
