Springfield H.S. Football Kick Off's Delayed

High School football games in Springfield will be delayed as the school district tries to beat the heat.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The high school football season in Missouri will kick off Friday night.

But at a few selected Springfield schools, the season will get started an hour later than planned. 

Friday's forcast for hot temperatures is making Springfield R-12 move it's home games to 8:00 p.m.

These are the games that we know of that are being delayed, Parkview at Kickapoo, Republic at Central, Joplin at Glendale, also Hillcrest at Camdenton and Nixa at Sedalia Smith-Cotton will all kick off at 8:00 p.m.
