JOPLIN, MO.--- The Secret Santa has hit the red kettles yet again this year in Joplin.

During Black Friday, a Secret Santa slipped $50,000 into the Salvation Army red kettles at the 7th Street Wal-Mart in Joplin.

Five, $10,000 checks were wrapped in dollar bills. They were put in the kettles at both entrances of Wal-Mart. This is the 8th year in a row Secret Santa has donated and they have given more than half a million dollars.

"That blows me away. I've been stationed at 11 states and haven't seen such generosity from one individual and it's awesome," said Lt. James Curry, Salvation Army.

The money will help with the feeding program throughout the year. The Salvation Army is still $120,000 short of its $410,000 goal in Joplin.
