Republic Woman Arrested in Death of 2-Year-Old Daughter

CLEVER, Mo. – A Republic woman has been arrested on a warrant for the death of her two-year-old daughter in November of 2011.
CLEVER, Mo. – A Republic woman has been arrested on a warrant for the death of her two-year-old daughter in November of 2011.

According to Christian County Sheriff Joey Kyle, Julie M. Horstmyer, 31, of Republic, was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter in the first degree and endangering the welfare of a child, for the death of her two-year-old daughter, Berklee Robertson.

On Nov. 5, 2011, deputies responded to 309 Little Ave. in Clever at the request of Clever police to investigate the death of Berklee in the home.

Horstmyer is currently at the Christian County Jail under a $75,000 bond.

An arraignment is scheduled for Nov. 8 at 10 a.m.
