Rear End Crash on Highway 65 Injures Two Drivers

BRANSON, MO. -- Two drivers were taken to the hospital today after an early morning crash in Taney County.

Here's a look at what was left of one of the cars involved in that accident.

Officials say this happened just after 5:00 am on Highway 65 between mile marker 15 and 16, about 5 miles north of Branson.

Western Taney County Fire District crews had to rescue one trapped driver.

According to Highway Patrol online reports, Richard Dahl, 25, of St. Charles, Missouri was seriously hurt when his car hit another that was stopped on the shoulder of the road.

Darren Combs, 28, of Branson was driving the car on the shoulder.  He had moderate injuries.

Both of the drivers were taken to a hospital in Springfield.
