But there was competitive golf going on at two courses in the area.

Hundreds of golfers playing for one of just 12 spots in the Charity Championship.

The rain means the Monday qualifiers will run into Tuesday.

Millwood has 11 golfers who need to finish their round.

Rivercut has 12 golfers in a playoff for three spots.

The rain making a challenging quest even more difficult.

Mark Baker/Monday Qualifier Hopeful:"Usually it just akes a little extra to get out there and get a feel for the day.  Today it was an hour delay.  We knew what we had to face.  We had plenty of time to prepare.  We only had one little bit of rain showers as well.."

Chris Yonke/Monday Qualifier Hopeful:"It takes a lot grinding.  You're out here, everybody is good.  A lot of people are here week in and week out, play in an event, Monday qualify.  It's just staying with it and grinding.  And when you get an opportunity take advantage of it."
