SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A Nixa man was sentenced to 12 years in prison for the forcible rape of three women between 2007 and 2008.

According to the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office, Jamison Scott Marquart, 28, previously pled guilty on Oct. 30, 2013 to the crimes. Marquart knew each of the three women he raped between April 8, 2007 and March 3, 2008. Each of the victims reported the assaults to police shortly after they happened.

Prosecutors in the case worked with all three victims and came to an agreement with Marquart to recommend a range of 5 to 12 years in prison, with an understanding the State would argue for the maximum penalty under the agreement.

The plea agreement spared the victims from having to testify in front of a jury, however each victim told her story to the judge.

Marquart was sentenced to the maximum under the plea agreement, 12 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Due to the nature of the charges, Marquart will serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.

Upon release from prison, Marquart will be required to register as a sex offender and be subject to lifetime GPS monitoring.
