NIANGUA, Mo. -- A Niangua woman admits to her role in the rape and beating of another woman earlier this year.
In a plea deal Tuesday, Angelina Nicole Medina, 18, pleaded guilty to assault and felonious restraint in the Webster County crime. She'd previously pleaded not guilty.
The judge suspended a 10-year prison sentence, and instead gave Medina four months shock incarceration.
Medina and three other people -- Kristin Price, 19, of Lebanon, David Alan-Lavern Lowery, 20, of Conway, and Charles Jacob Medina, 20, of Niangua -- were accused of beating a woman with fists, elbows and a broom handle and holding her down while she was raped.
The alleged crime happened on or about May 22, 2013 at a home on Goat Road in Niangua.
The name of the victim and her medical condition are not known at this time.
