Naturals Crush Springfield 21-6

NW Arkansas beats the Cardinals 21-6.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Springfield Cardinals opened up a short four game homestand Tuesday night at Hammons Field.

The Cardinals hosting Northwest Arkansas, the Double AA affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.

Springfield starts the day in first place by one game on Arkansas in the north.

Only seven more regular season home games left.

Northwest Arkansas takes the lead in the first, Lane Adams, who was recruited to play hoops at Missouri State, hammers this to left, a three run shot it's 3-nothing Naturals.

But Springfield battles back in the bottom half, Ruben Gotay scortches this to center, Brett Eibner makes the catch, James Ramsey tags and scores it's 3-one.

Then Xavier Scruggs rips this to left, off Adams glove and off the boards, a double that scores Luis Mateo it's 3-2.

Still in that first, Stephen Piscotty singles to center, Scruggs scores and it's 3-3.

Springfield took a 4-3 lead.

And the Cards flashing the leather in the second, check out Piscotty in right, up and over the wall, robbing Rey Navarro of a homer, still 4-3.

He later hit a homer, but the game got out of hand, the Naturals set a record winning 21-6.
