Mountain Home Man Jailed for Meth, Drug Paraphernalia

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Mountain Home man on felony burglary and drug charges on Thursday.
MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Mountain Home man on felony burglary and drug charges on Thursday.

According to a press release, Terry William Stacy, 46, of Mountain Home, was arrested after receiving a complaint on Sept. 29 from a property owner stating he found a man inside a vacant rental property at 229 Cranfield Rd.

When the property owner found Stacy inside the residence, he reportedly escorted him from the property and secured the building. Stacy asked to be allowed back inside to retrieve a backpack, but was denied.

A short time later, the property owner saw Stacy attempting to make his way back inside the residence. When he was confronted and told that authorities were on their way, Stacy left on a bicycle.

The property owner retrieved the backpack from the building and found a syringe inside. According to the release, deputies further inspected the backpack and found less than two grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

An arrest warrant was later obtained for Stacy. He is now in the Baxter County Detention Center on charges of residential burglary, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Stacy is being held in lieu of a $15,000 bond, with a court date set for Oct. 24.
