The Lady Bears came out flying in the first half. Tyonna Snow hits a three ball for Missouri State to make it 5-0.

Later, it was Tyonna Snow again. This time with a three point play. That makes it 8-0 Lady Bears.

Mizzou's Sierra Michaelis got things going for the Tigers. That makes it 19-10 MSU.

Then a nice no-look pass from Michaelis to Tania Jackson with the finish, cutting the Lady Bear lead to 31-20.

Later, it's Bry Sno, this time she gets the inside hoop. 33-20 Missouri State.

Before the half, Lady Bears Lexi Hughes with the big-time shot.

Lady Bears go on to win it 67-53.

Also Thursday night was high school basketball.

The Willard Tigers faced off against the Central Bulldogs in girl’s high school hoops.

Bulldog's Jaslyn Williams splits the defenders and takes it all the way herself. That makes it 5-2 Willard.

Then it's Willard’s Mallory Kurtz setting up for big things and drains the three.

10-2 Tigers.

Now it's Kurtz with a nice back door cut, getting the layup to go.

14-6 Tigers lead.

Then it's the Tigers going to the post. Chlsea Yates for Willard off the glass.

16-9 Willard.

Later, the Bulldogs from the corner and it's Williams again.

Willard goes on to win it with 61-51.

Today, Nixa senior Joe Velliquette signed his letter of intent to wrestle at the university of Pennsylvania next year.

Along with a DL scholarship under wraps, the Eagle wrestler has his eyes on a third straight state championship.

Velliquette won at the 106 and 126 pound level the past two seasons.

This year Velliquette will compete at 138 pounds in class four for his senior year before wrestling at Pennsylvania.

“Well I felt U. Penn. could really meet my goals and could help me reach to the point where I want to get in my life,” says Velliquette. “I feel like that was the best option, it was the most balanced for me and it felt right when I went there."
