LOUISVILLE, Ky--The Missouri State Lady Bears tipped off a two game road swing through the Bluegrass State Tuesday night.

First on the agenda, a visit to number seven Louisville.

The Cardinals played in the national championship game last season.

The Lady Bears trying to snap a three game losing skid.

And Louisville out to a 15-4 start and didn't look back, second half action here, around to Shoni Schimmel who drains the three pointer, 47-41 Cardinals.

Then Louisville with the defense, Asia Taylor steals the ball, one of 13 Lady Bear turnovers, down the floor to Monny Niamke Louisville up by 40 points.

The Lady Bears trying to get back in it, the skip pass to Desiree Phillips, three of her career high 11 points.

Then down in the corner to Kenzie Williams, too little, too late, Louisville wins 91-49.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Missouri State Bears will be back in action tonight at JQH Arena.
Paul Lusk and his Bears are facing NCAA Division II Cameron.

It's a home game on the schedule between the Bears Corpus Christi trip, and two road games next week.

The Bears beat Texas A&M down in Corpus Christi with a big second half effort, but fell to Virginia in the tournament championship game Saturday night.
It was Missouri State's first loss of the season.

The Bears are still trying to get the offense in gear after the injuries to Marcus Marshall and Keith Pickens and Lusk says the game against the Aggies will help.
"When you lose your best guard and your best energy guy - and a versatile guy like Pickens- roles change.  Guys who were playing one particular role need to change.  We need to get better offensively.  But we absolutely need to get better defensively."

"Defense is what wins games," says Bears guard Dorrian Williams.  "In order for us to be good.  In order for us to be successful and reach our goals it's going to start on the defensive end.  We can't take our opponents lightly."
