Mizzou's Pinkel Not Looking At Polls

Gary Pinkel says he doesn't look at polls.
COLUMBIA, Mo--The Mizzou Tigers are 7-0 for only the second time in Gary Pinkel's career in Columbia.
The Tigers have also climbed in all the polls.
Mizzou is seven in the coaches' poll.
And the Tigers are ranked fifth in the country in both the AP Top 25 and in the BCS poll.
The sparkling record and lofty poll rankings will make for a fun Homecoming Saturday night.
The Tigers will host 20th ranked South Carolina.
The Gamecocks will be coming into Faurot Field after being stunned on the road at Tennessee last week.
Mizzou had to use Maty Mauk at quarterback for the injured James Franklin and he led the Tigers to a 36-17 win.
Pinkel says South Carolina will be another tough challenge.
And says he doesn't pay attention to any of the polls.
Gary Pinkel/Mizzou Coach:"Honestly, I haven't looked at the standings.  I just know this is our eighth game.  This is game eight.  That's what we decided to do this year, just go down game by game.  Just try to play our best football.  We only have 12 shots at it."
