Mizzou to the Cotton Bowl

The Tigers head to the Cotton Bowl.

COLUMBIA, Mo--Monday, Hillcrest product and current Mizzou receiver Dorial Green Beckham was named second team All-SEC by the associated press.

Lebanon's Justin Britt was named first team.

Both will lead Mizzou against Oklahoma State Friday, January 3rd in the Cotton Bowl.

Mizzou finished the regular season ranked eighth in the BCS standings. The tigers will face the 13th ranked 10-2 Cowboys.

The last time Mizzou was in the Cotton Bowl, the Tigers beat Arkansas 38-7 in 2008. Mizzou's only other trip to Dallas was in 1946 when Texas beat the Tigers 40-27.

"They're a really good football team. I think it's a great matchup. Look at the two teams records. The great years we've had. I don't know, there's a lot of great matchups but I can't imagine any better than this one," said Tiger football coach Gary Pinkel.
