Missouri Hall Honors Norm Stewart

A larger than life statue of Norm Stewart was unveiled at the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame honored college basketball coaches Saturday.

It was a reunion of sorts as well for Mizzou basketball coaches and assistant coaches. 

Saturday morning the group gathered at the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame where a larger than life-sized statue of Tiger coach Norm Stewart was unvieled.

At the following luncheon, the 2013 Filbert Five was announced.

Stewart said he was humbled by the honor.

Norm Stewart/Missouri Sports Legend:"This is something that took a long time and some thought.  And I had some time, and some thought and I'm still having trouble getting my arms around all of it.  The people that played for me wanted to get better.  And that's the whole answer.  If you have somebody who wants to get better you can coach.."

The Filbert Five is actually six this year.
