SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The second person accused in the 2010 shooting death of a Hillcrest High School student, is sentenced to life in prison.

A Greene County judge today sentenced Jordan Martin for his part in the death of Kody Ray.  Ray was shot to death on the front porch of a home of W. Chicago.

A jury found Martin guilty in July.   Prosecutors claim Martin was behind the shooting, although a second man, James Duke, actually pulled the trigger.  Duke was sentenced last November.  He also received a life sentence.

Martin was accused of driving Duke to Ray's house. His attorney said the life sentence will be appealed.  Kody Ray's sister, who was in the courtroom Thursday for the sentencing, said the family was pleased with the judge's ruling.
