The Nikkei is up almost 2 points today in trading in Tokyo.
On Wall Street, stocks rallied as the risk of a U.S. military attack on Syria appeared to fade.
The Dow rose 128 points Tuesday.
And the Nasdaq added 23 to close at a 13 year high.

A federal appeals court has ruled that Google overstepped its bounds when it photographed neighborhoods for its popular street view mapping feature. The court found Google's camera-equipped cars went far beyond just listening to radio communications when they collected emails and internet passwords from inside people's homes. Google can now be sued for privacy violations. Consumer advocates call it a landmark decision for internet privacy.

Apple fell 2 percent after announcing two new iPhones. The 5C is a cheaper model that will be made of plastic and come in five different colors. Its meant to compete with the lower cost Android powered phones. The Apple 5S will run on a new, faster chip and have fingerprint recognition. Consumers can pre-order the 5C Friday. Both models will hit stores September 23rd.

Shares of Netflix hit a record $306.10 just two days before the release of Netflix's latest original series, "Derek" starring Rickey Gervais.
